Banana Supreme cupcakes topped with lime buttercream frosting and fondant horses, horse shoes and flowers.
We have recently moved and as we don't yet know any of our neighbours our children were unable to celebrate halloween by dressing up all spooky and horrible and doing the usual 'TRICK OR TREAT'. So..... I baked them some halloween goodies instead. A dark chocolate mud cake, filled and iced with pumpkin (yes pumpkin) buttercream icing. This has got to be one of the yummiest icings. Decorated with a spooky haunted house surrounded by flying bats and a full moon, a ghost saying boo, some dead grass and halloween pumpkins. When I cut the domed top off a cake I usually ice it for the children as an afternoon snack when they come home from school. As I was icing away I came up with the idea of making it into a Jack O Lantern. And some little ghost cake balls. HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!! TraceyXThis is my latest creation. A pink lustre Baptism cake, personalised with the little girls name standing on top of the cake and decorated with a large silver fondant bow and a cross of silver cachous. This cake was ordered by a lovely client for her daughter's baptism. TraceyXHow quickly does time fly when you have children. All of a sudden my eldest daughter is 15. She spent her birthday weekend shopping in Melbourne with her Nana and two of her aunties. How lucky is she. Unfortunately I couldn't go as we were moving house that weekend. Below is the cake I created for her to celebrate her 15th birthday upon her return. TraceyXWhen my husband was growing up one of his favourite desserts that his mum would make him was an Almond Peachy Pie. The delicious flavours of lemon, peach, almond and coconut together are scrumptious. So I decided to make him an Almond Peachy Wonky Sponge cake for father's day. Iced with blue buttercream icing, decorated with a SuperDad fondant topper and red and yellow fondant balls. Of course I had to make a matching SuperDad father's day card. HAPPY FATHER'S DAY TO ALL THE GREAT DADS!!! TraceyXI was contacted at the beginning of last week by a client requesting a photo invitation for her daughter's 1st birthday. Her only request was pink and the she needed the invites in a hurry. I decided on a princess theme and created a couple of different ideas for her. This is what she chose.
