A couple of weeks ago my girlfriends and I had the pleasure of organising and hosting a baby shower for one of our closest friends. The mummy to be chose an ocean theme (the theme of the nursery) and a high tea. I decided to create a tea bag style invitation using the ocean theme. I designed a tea bag holder which guests tear open to reveal the tea bag style invitation I also created matching games booklets for each guest which we displayed on the tables with a star shaped pink chocolate. Open the booklet to reveal the games. We decided to only play two games - Baby Bingo and What's in Mummy's purse. The savoury table. The cake - designed to match the invitations Bottom tier: Orange & poppyseed mud cake, filled with orange juice icing and iced in vanilla buttercream. Middle tier: Dark chocolate fruit cake, filled and iced with dark chocolate ganache and covered in fondant. Top tier: Gluten free buttercake filled and iced in vanilla buttercream. All edible decorations. Best part - sweets. I created place cards and milk bottle signs too. Check out the hot mummy to be cutting the cake. All my love and best wishes Jacinta & Dean on the birth of your first child. Can't wait to meet him or her. TraceyX

A couple of weeks ago it was my birthday and as jaffa is my all time fave flavour I decided to make a jaffa meringue cake to celebrate. The cake is a choc/orange victorian sponge filled with fresh orange curd. It is iced in torched meringue and decorated with chocolate coloured fondant daisies with jaffa centres and finished off with a border of yummy, yummy jaffa's. TraceyXI baked these double chocolate cupcakes, decorated with fondant flowers and pink butterfly embossed fondant circles for a work colleague as a gift for her mums birthday. All boxed up and tied with a brown satin ribbon... A gift box full of macadamia macarons filled with maple syrup and pumpkin spiced buttercream icing were also ordered.
I actually made these last weekend for my SIL's birthday. Her favourite colour is blue and she loves butterflies. Vanilla Sponge cupcakes iced with a simple swirl of vanilla cream and topped with patchwork style fondant butterflies and petite daisies. HAPPY BIRTHDAY VANESSA!!! TraceyXI baked these cupcakes for the kids for a Friday the 13th afternoon tea. Vanilla cupcakes soaked in apricot jam and iced with flesh coloured fondant. Decorated with an edible eyeball stabbed with an edible shard of glass oozing lots of messy messy blood. The kids loved the mess of the blood!!!
I had the pleasure of creating these ivory pearl lace, vintage style wedding invitations for Alicia and Matts wedding which was held back in April. This is a popular style invitation so we added a vintage style flourish to the inserts just to add a personal touch. I designed matching custom wedding maps. Bad weather details were included as the ceremony was to be held outside. Luckily they had the most beautiful day. matching wishing well inserts and RSVP's I also created these matching envelope wraps. TraceyX |
